 Mini TostaCaffé™ Quickstart Guide

1.

Remove Mini TostaCaffé™ Model A Roaster Cabinet from box and set on table.  Carefully remove all packing materials and tape.  Install roaster drum into cabinet.

2.

Install exhaust valve for controlling exhaust flow onto roaster cabinet and plug in halogen door lamp cord, roaster cabinet power cord.   Highly recommended  20 amp outlet.

3.

Remove drum from roaster, pull drum door, place green beans (1-5 lbs.) and insert loaded drum into Mini TostaCaffe' Model A Coffee Bean Roaster.  For first time roasting it would be better to begin with 2 lb. batches as it provides more reaction time for roasting.

4.

Turn on roaster cabinet timer switch and halogen door lamp switch (recommend using a power outlet strip with switch for halogen door lamp).

5.

Once smoke is visible and the sound of 1st crack can be heard (a loud snapping sound) open exhaust valve.

6.

Once beans are roasted, open roaster door, turn roaster off, remove drum and dump beans into pan for cooling - you can safely remove drum from roaster while drum motor is still on.

7.

It's possible to raise or lower the internal roasting temperature by adjusting exhaust valve, halogen heat array, or internal ceramic heat.

8.

Inspect vent conduit for buildup every 200 lbs. of roasted beans for the first 1000 pounds of roasted beans and every 500 lbs. thereafter.  If vent buildup is substantial it may be necessary to clean with soap and water.

9.

Cleaning the door and cabinet can be accomplished with rubbing alcohol or if buildup is heavier an oven cleaner can be used in a well ventilated area.
